The Bacchanalia - Wine & Sin Festival

IISI Vallisaari

Which day are you attending, or both?

One ticket covers both days

Friday 17. July 2026
In 186 BC, the Roman Senate arrested 7,000 people. The crime? A wine festival where slaves and citizens drank together - without classes, without rules, without permission. The Senate called it sin. We call it Saturday.

Two thousand years later, the same celebration returns. To an island that was forbidden for 200 years.

The Bacchanalia - Wine & Sin Festival takes over IISI Vallisaari's old ammunition depot and the entire festival grounds for two days. Dozens of wine producers at their own stations. Wine pourers channeling ancient Rome. Delicacies from three kitchens. Music until nightfall. And then the evening party begins.

FESTIVAL TICKET - 15 EUR advance / 20 EUR at the door - Entry on both days to all areas - Evening parties included - First glass of wine included

WINE TOKENS - 4 EUR each (8 cl tasting pour) - Most wines for one token, premium wines for two - Buy in advance or on site

MINI TASTINGS - 1h sommelier-led tastings, 3 wines - Hatt & Soner Champagne + other producers - Times and themes confirmed later - 34.90-39 EUR per tasting

Bacchus was not the god of drunkenness. He was the god of freedom - Eleutherios, the Liberator. His festival was so good it grew from three days to sixty per year. The Senate sent the army against it. It came back anyway.

The ferry leaves from Market Square. The Bacchanalia begins on arrival.

Same day on the island

No need to plan the evening separately
