Venetian Night
IISI Vallisaari
Venetsialaiset, the traditional Finnish end-of-summer festival! It has been celebrated on Finland's shores for well over a century, and on the last Saturday of August summer gets its send-off. At Vallisaari we do it in the middle of the sea, and this year the lineup is our biggest yet.
Chebaleba has spent the whole summer on his Mökkitour, playing gigs at people's own summer cottages around Finland. Over 700 cottages applied in the first week alone. The final show of the tour is played here, so the whole summer's Mökkitour comes to its finale at Vallisaari. Chebaleba takes the stage at 9 pm, right after the sun has set into the sea, and at some point in the night you will of course hear Kesäfiilistelyy, one of Finland's most loved summer songs, live. There is no better moment for that song than the last Saturday of summer on an island.
Before and after the show the decks belong to Matteo Keli, our house DJ who has kept the island's dance floor running every Friday and Saturday all summer. By late August it gets properly dark, so the last hours are danced under the lights by the sea. The bar serves wine, sparkling and more.
Book your spot in advance so we know how many people are coming and there is room on the ferries for everyone. Better be early 😉
